Nelson Mandela Platinum Wire Sculpture:

Here’s a look at the World’s first Sculpture made from Platinum Wire. After a taking a trip to South Africa in 2009, Designer Tom Rucker realized that the most inspirational person for many children in those parts was Peace-loving Freedom Fighter Mr. Nelson Mandela. Rucker then decided to honor the Freedom Leader by create a life-sized, three-dimensional sculpture using platinum wire. It took 1.9Million laser spots to create the masterpiece while the eye’s of the sculpture are set with Black Diamonds. Recently revealed by Helen Zille, Premier of the Western Cape at the International Conference Centre at the Waterfront in Cape Town, it’s good to see someone honored for the good they have done and Mr. Mandela is worthy of it.
